Thanks for explaining. It's not so obvious to anyone who doesn't really watch baseball, if the point of the joke is to be able to recognize a "slow easy to hit pitch." Hope your sense of intelligent superiority doesn't weigh you down too much today, I would hate think you got tired too fast from knowing it all.

Oh, I don't feel bad. I understand the humor around "arm and a leg" in relation to this thread, I just didn't get that reference out of that picture because I didn't understand the relation. Doesn't make me stupid, just makes me ignorant. Now I am not ignorant of this particular tidbit of information, Professor Mili has enlightened me.
