What was with that kid singing the national anthem at the eagles game? I was upstairs and was only mildly listening to the broadcast when I hear this off pitch singer belting out a horrible rendition and i thought.... good lord, now what? Who is singing this disaster? All I could think about was how bad the Eagles fans would booo him off the stage....

So I had to run downstairs to get a glimpse of this singer getting a verbal lashing from the fans....

only to see a young kid...who had a "helper" kind of whispering in his ear or something.... he looked a little strange and then I thought maybe he was retarded or something.... he got a big ovation when he finished...so I'm guessing that was the case....

can anyone fill me in...cause I know those fans are more ruthless than that.

The kid who sang before the Eagles game had CP and was in the hospital during last years NFC title game. Dawkins had enough class to visit the kid after the loss and cheer him up. As Dawkins was leaving, he told Dawkins he wanted to sing the national anthem if they made it back this year. Dawkins said OK. I thought it was great and was very touched by the story. As were fans and players if you saw their faces on TV. So quit being an *** and show some of your class.

Why don't you go back and read that again.....

I was asking for verification on what the deal was...nothing more nothing less. I told you I had no idea what the deal was.... I just heard this bad rendition taking place...wasn't making fun of the poor kid....trying to see if that was the case....figured it had to be because no philly fans would cheer that unless there were "special" circumstances.

Now - be gone.
