I liked the mortgage ones. Especially where the guy was talking on his cell phone, and the owner of the gas station thought he was robbing him...so he maced him, then hit him with a bat, then his wife hit him with a cattle prod...I mean, anytime somebody gets hit with a cattle prod, it's funny.

Also the one for Visa Check card and the Super Heroes was funny.

Alright, I have finally calmed down enough to talk about this...

The MBNA commercial which included Gladys Knight playing rugby against the English national team left me in a state of shock. I was back in NYC visiting my fellow college cronies and they found it hysterical that my face was totally paralyzed with horror after watching that commercial. It was a good 4 minutes before I was able to speak again. I immediately went into my wallet, pulled out my MBNA Visa and began to think of all the ways I could destroy it.

Worst Overall Ad
The Ford truck ad that shows their trucks in a parking lot are tougher than a gang of bikers that intimidated a family that was driving on a highway. What?
Runner up: This was the closest one: MBNA having Gladys Knight play rugby. It was like they signed a contract for the slot, then realized a few days ago that the Super Bowl was this weekend.

It just feels good to see Phil Connors and Ned Ryerson again, and both look 27 years older. There was no The Irishman-style CGI de-aging here. The added weight of all those years make the dread on Connors’ (Bill Murray’s) face that much more real, when he wakes up at the beginning of the commercial. But his day becomes less hellish once he spots a new Jeep, then proceeds to steal along with Punxsutawney Phil for a joy ride.

This is only the second Super Bowl to fall on February 2, so perfect timing to resurrect the classic film. The other Groundhog Day Super Bowl was in 2014, when a defense with Richard Sherman obliterated one of the most dynamic offenses the NFL has ever seen. Hmmm.

Ad have been crap this year so far... however the rocket mortgage Jason Momoa spot was outstanding.... soo many traumatized women out there from that one

a mighty fuck you to that google ad... My mom died a couple years ago... between that ad and Apple’s during thanksgiving bringing my dad to tears every time he sees it. again fuck you do no evil

The stain on shirt thing...what the fuck? I've never seen one that bad the first time get beaten to death like that.

Overall the commercials rivaled Jimmy G for first place in the category of sucking ass.

It is astounding to think of how much these commercials cost to make then the cost to air
and the majority were abysmal

The concept is to make a commercial with lasting brand awareness and especially, brand retention
Many were very entertaining, outrageously expensive to produce
and completely void of remembering which brand they were promoting

All the car commercials morph together... there is nothing that separates one from the rest
Pretty people ride in pretty cars down a pretty roadway.. in sparkling glitter night time...
Groundhog may have been best but does anyone want that hideous looking Jeep truck.. yuk

Ad agencies should be fired as well as the marketing execs who approved of these ads... you suck
