  • Many of the OSU baseball team's members will be participating in Summer Leagues. Here is a list and links to the teams' web sites.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio - A total of 27 current Ohio State baseball players are participating in summer collegiate leagues this summer, including five players, who were invited to participate in the prestigious Cape Cod League. Matt Angle (Cotuit), Dan DeLucia (Cotuit), Eric Fryer (Harwich), Josh Hula (Cotuit) and Cory Luebke (Falmouth) are representing Ohio State in the Cape Cod League this summer.
    Several other Buckeyes are playing closer to home in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, including four for the Columbus All-Americans (Josh Barrera, Trey Fausnaugh, Jacob Howell and J.B. Shuck) and three for the Delaware Cows (Rory Meister, Wes Schirtzinger and Jason Zoeller).
    The league has Ohio teams in Columbus (All-Americans), Delaware (Cows), Granville (Settlers), Celina (Grand Lakes Mariners), Cincinnati (Steam), Athens (Southern Ohio Copperheads), Lima (Locos) and Xenia (Athletes In Action) as well as a team in Carleton, Mich. (Lake Erie Monarchs).
    The Columbus team plays at Ohio State's Bill Davis Stadium.

    -Matt Angle .292 BA 14-19 steals 412 OBP...Angle is turning some heads in the Cape Cod league.

    -Eric Fryer .250 BA ..Eric has played a lot, but isnt doing very well.
