Frederica, DE isn't too far away from where I live (Wilmington, DE). It's south of here, and people in Wilmington refer to the lower parts of DE as "Slower Delaware". See why...???
Hmm, wonder if that means anything.
i used to be a suicide prevention volunteer. all of the calls from, the columbus area would go to the call center, which is located in the north central mental health service building in the short north. i worked the midnight to 6 a.m. shift on wednesdays. yes, that is the graveyard shift.if you don't know what your doing hanging yourself can be a very time consuming and a reasonably horrible way to go. most suicide attempts are a cry for help. id assume this one was as well. think about it, according to the article it was done in a VERY visible area. it was done very high off the ground. 15 feet? you don't need much more than a few inches higher than you are tall. the body was noticed at breakfast time so she was likely, subconsiously or not, doing this when people would be heading to work so they could see. what better time to be seen than during the morning commute? very sad :(.
imo, the only people who commit suicide and actually want to die rather than as a misguided attempt to seek help are people who go to remote places and kill themselves in a very immediate fashion. anytime i hear someone killed themselves using pills or slicing their wrists or like this... expecially doing so at their home or someplace reletively public. imo they were looking for someone to stop them. unfortunately more often than not the isolation that often drives these people to such extrodinary ends to gain the attention they so desperately desire is the same isolation that keeps people from being in a position to realize it is happening in the first place. its a vicious cycle. they want to scare people into paying attention to them. but the reason they are going to such extreme measures is because noone is paying attention in the first place...
