Nah, the 2 point attempt against Ped was perfectly fine. A single point isn't going to do anything for you there. You're not going to do any better being up two than you're already doing being up 1. But, converting and being up 3 is a different comfort.

Eagles just did this with about 12 minutes left against the Vikings. They were down 20-6, made the 2-pointer and now look smart at 20-14.Statistically valid, but a great way to get crucified by the masses on the days it doesn't work.

Agree. Stupid.
On its own, I don't think this was stupid. If you don't get it, you're confident you'll still get the ball back. So if the other team kicks a field goal, scores a touchdown, etc., you're still in the driver's seat. If you get it, you've got the chance that the other team will just tie it.
However, because of the first two-point conversion you brought up, you shouldn't be in this position.
Can we just name it the Ferentz of the Year Award?
In all seriousness, I don't see how the booger-eater doesn't win it this year.
