Anyone playing Starfield?

Kind of boring so far. I don't mind side quests or simple storyline tasks early, but damn this is slow. I got a coffee for a janitor as a side quest.

My problem with it is you don’t get to actually fly from planet to planet. There’s no natural exploration like in Fallout or Skyrim, it’s all just menu based fast travel. The organic open world exploration is what made those games great. My best memories involve maybe two or three quests per game, rather it’s the impromptu under-levelled combat encounters when you’re walking from point a to point b.

I’ve been watching Twitch streamers play Starfield on Hard mode and not struggling at all.

It’s half a Bethesda game, and not the one Todd Howard promised.

Don't worry! For $49.99 you can get the DLC to bring the game up to expectations

I'm not even sure if its on consoles... but I'm sure to use it on a console you'll need to be subscribed to PS+ or Xbox whatever its called for a smooth $80 a year at the base tier

It's on XBox Series S/X and PC.

After Microsoft ruined Halo, like all the other things Microsoft ruins, they kicked Bungie to the curb and bought Bethesda, so they could ruin that studio too.

When you look at it that way, I suppose Starfield is a great success for Microsoft!

The task of getting Powers (similar to Shout in Skyrim) is so repetitive and tedious.

There are factions similar to Skyrim, but it makes it harder to do things if you try to be a member in all of them.

I would give it a 7 out of 10. I am enjoying it but I do not get lost in it for hours like Skyrim or RDR2.

I have never dropped a game like this so fast. I stopped playing in October after getting to one more mission in main story. This game is so boring with very little to do. No exploration of planets and repeated POIs. I give it a 3 out of 10.

I actually liked the game, but I’m a pretty big space dork and like slow burns. However, it should have been so much more. I was still disappointed. Waiting for the modding stuff to release in a few weeks, then things should really get moving in the right direction.

I also went 7/10. It scratched a few itches for me. Was super disappointed that outpost building took a step in the wrong direction from Fallout 4’s settlement system.
