Those little icons were lost over a year ago in an upgrade, not exactly a necessity to functionality of the site though (unless you are really vain, then you could just brag on your rep, post count, and immense PS skillz....).

G is correct. The plan has always been to return to the Medals for donation/contribution system, but it has always been behind other projects that require immediate attention. Once Clarity finds something suitable (read, not a security risk for the site, and something he doesn't have to write/code from scratch) then it will be installed. FWIW, I think it's important to replace the old medal system with something of similar function. I know Clarity and LongwoodBuck (and the whole staff) find it very important to recognize those that donate their money, time and skills to keep the Planet spinning.
