By Gary Housteau
Date: Apr 1, 2005
Under sunny skies and a blowing wind on occasion, Ohio State took to the field for the first time as spring drills officially got under way. Here's just some photos of the events that took place during the first session on Thursday as media members had access to the primeter of the two outside practice fields.

Let's hope he is changing... however its a lot easier to step into his throws in practice without pads than with a DE breathing down your throat.LloydSev said:Did anyone else notice Zwick's back foot off the ground on his throw? Maybe he is beginning to break his habit? Or maybe it was just an abbiration caught on camera.
Fox did what he was told to do.ysubuck said:Oiler,
Very true. Coach gave up any kind of coverage with Fox because he was a sure tackler. Worst cover guy I have ever seen, though.
If Whitner can do BOTH then I don't understand why he wouldn't use him there.

Everret wont's to go there. Whitner was unhappy with the move to corner, who could blame him? His style is better at safety. We just need a solid tackler at the other corner position.
where is it common knowledge that whitner is playing corner and everette SS? Whitner was listed first there in the spring roster, which means nothing. The latest story on BN says that whitner didnt exclusively play corner in high school, but he started there at osu until tucker and dantonio moved him to safety. the story would lead you to believe that whitner would move there if everette or one of the others do not work out.Cornerback6 said:It is now common knowledge that Whitner will play the CB spot and Everett the SS. Where did you hear that Whitner was unhappy? Do you have a source? His position coming out of H.S. was corner so I can't imagine him being too upset. Besides, next year, he could be right back at the SS spot...we just need to give our young CB's another year to develop.
