Maybe I am missing something here...but it seems like some events are open for way too long. FOr example, the BPL relegation bet says it is open until May 11...what is the point of betting before that? And why keep it open until the last week of the season? DOn't you want to close that like this weekend and have it just pay out then?
It's a season-long bet. Odds will be updated throughout the year so you can continue to place bets if you like. Similar to real sports betting, the odds on your bet are locked in when you place it. If the odds shift and you find a better price or value later on, you can stake more. That bet in particular could close early if the relegation spots are decided before the final match day. The plan at the moment is to check the odds on this BPL bet and the other season-long ones once a week on Monday or Tuesday and updated our events accordingly.
Each bookie is going to run their bets as they wish - I saw that BB73 is still closing down his season-long bets at the start, for instance. Clarity mentioned these new capabilities for season long bets though, and when I asked to take on soccer betting I wanted to give the new functionality a try.
