    • jhilmer just posted a thread with four good clips from the 1998 Michigan game. He inadvertently used "link" instead of "url" in the link syntax, so the links didn't work. I edited one of his links, saved the edit, and then clicked on it to make sure it indeed linked me to RapidShare (where he saved the files). Of course it worked. Well, when I went back to the thread to edit the other three links, they were already fixed! I shit you not! I thought, if the editor knows to replace "link=" with "url=" (much like Microsoft Word has on-the-fly spell checking), why didn't do that when I first made the initial edit? The corrections didn't appear until I came back to the thread again to edit the other three links. Fuck, I've only had three beers, so I ain't drunk (yet)...
     
    Well, went back and figured it out...jhilmer was editing his errors and had changed them himself. I know this for a fact because when I went back to that thread after starting this thread, he had posted more links in his original thread and they were all correct (save one, which I fixed). I had just happened to see his original thread right after he posted it, so after I made edits (and then he made his), there was no "edited by" under the post because it was all done within the 5-minute (or whatever it is) editing grace period.

    Well, enough of this shit, I need more beer... :biggrin:
