SMU's a very nice campus (went to many a concert there), and alums are well-heeled. Will be a tough contest, and bet Uni of Texas gets involved as well.

    Only negative for SMU are the people who go there. The worst kind of affluent snobs.
     
    Used to go to a bar across street from campus, can't remember the name. They local band played a song, "this is what you get, when you date a SMU sorority b****". Always a crowd favorite, and the co-eds seemed to like it as well. Never dipped into that pool, as was an advanced 28-29. Did however, enjoy taking dates to the (almost) free concerts. Saw one of Piatagorski's last cello concerts there. For me, was an oasis in the midst of Country honky-tonk. PS, remembered another stanza....."you're never gonna scratch your itch, with an SMU sorority b****". Another song...."Lucy's got a p**** like a javelina hog, breaks down like a shotgun, and barks like a dog". Thanks for reminding me of the interesting times....

    Script, you've hit the nail on the head. Bowley and Wilson is/was the name of the group of which I was speaking. Always packed the house, and put on a good show. Pretty much right across the street from the apartments that I lived in. Fond memories. Funny, couldn't remember their name, but remember some of the lyrics. Great get.
