Sparty +7.5 vs Texas Tech (ov/un 60.5) ESPN Sat 9 ET, Alamo Bowl

Whoever the stupid announcer was that just used the words "big, slow Big Ten wide receiver" needs to watch yesterday's games. Fucking hell, I thought we put that to rest yesterday! :2004: :hatepc::pissed::smash:

Sorry, that really pushed my buttons when I heard that. Stupid ESPiN.

*edited quote to reflect the actual last words. I knew it had something to do with the offense. lol

Shitty ESPN commentators throw cliches and outdated myths around without regard for accuracy. All 11 teams could turn into basketball on grass in the year 2025 and we'll still be known as "big and slow"

That was Bob Davie, former ND coach, who is generally very fair and positive when calling b10 games.

After the onslaught of Herbie digs at Tressel & b10 football during his backhanded compliments, you almost wonder if this is scripted. The "analysts" in bristol are obviously scripted, and Danielson complained about ESPN telling him what to say when he left.

Bob Davie - "He's not your typical big, slow Big Ten wide receiver"

Yeah, lots of "big, slow wide receivers", dipshit. :roll1:

That drive stalled when Keith Nichol missed a cut block on an otherwise promising swing pass. He's a fixture in their WR lineup, and he is not a Kellen Lewis or Terrelle Pryor kind of athlete who can make an impact there.

Letting Winston back on the team might just kill Dantonio's program. Things are ugly up there right now.

It just dawned on me that Mike Patrick and Craig James are broadcast partners, yet for some reason Bob Davie, who does color for Mark Jones, is sitting in for James. I wonder why???

Probably by design from his lawyers. I'm not completely convinced they would have passed given the soapbox they constructed 5 years ago.
