A year ago March Iwas admitted into the hospital with lung problems and the dr's said quit now or die soon. Haven't smoked since but when I'm laying on my death bed I want a smoke.

The Buttocks' household is smoke free now... well, the house proper has always been smoke free but now the exterior grounds are also "smoke-free."

A huge congrats to you, 6 months... that is great.

My Mother-in-law was very near the end of her life, there was no turning back, she was terminal with ovarian cancer and leukemia... she was in the hospital and wanted to go outside for a cigarette, I rounded up a wheelchair, took her for a smoke. A few hours later, she wanted another one... this time, her nurse, started giving her a huge lecture about developing lung cancer, etc... My mother-in-law politely listened to this 10 minute speech, then quite frankly asked the nurse (who was completely aware of my MIL's terminal condition), "Do you really think a little thing like the possibilty of lung cancer is going to make me quit smoking? That would only add to the excitement!"
