During the gun fight, both Paulie and Tony die, leaving a slowly recuperating Sil to take the reins on both the New Jersey AND Lupertazzi families.....

Confined to the mattresses for an extended period Tony and Paulie find a level of compatibility neither saw coming.

The Soprano's final shot goes from a worried Carmela to a worried Meadow to a drugged-out AJ ....... to Tony's SUV parked outside a small hotel in New Hampshire.

Meadow finally gets to do the nude scene she's been wanting to do for a while with Patsi Parisi's son and Phil's henchmen bust in and kill both of them.....

Carmela is in hiding with Janice and they receive a phone call from Tony. The scene cuts as it is actually at the end of the episode.

AJ grows a pair and takes Phil out for his Dad.....

Paulie sells Tony out but Uncle Junior shoots him in a fit of dementia right as he was going to shoot Tony....

Tony takes over the New York family temporarily and contacts Little Carmine to come up and take it all over. Meanwhile Tony starts to build his crew up from the ground and makes a call to Carmela and Janice telling them that everything will be ok.....

(FWIW I think the best final episode of all time was Seinfeld - just ahead of the Bob Newhart Show.)

I also loved the Seinfeld finale and rank it just behind the Cheers and Wonder Years series enders. I still remember how so many people were saying the show would be back in a year after their jail sentence was up.

You sir should be writing for the picture shows....particularly Entourage. Somehow we need to get Sloane out of her clothes on screen.

As for how The Sopranos ends...you never really know with David Chase. I don't expect a concrete ending though, I look for him to leave open the possibility of a movie...though that could be difficult with so many key characters now gone. I do expect A.J. to play a big part in it. Way too much build up with his character to not do something big. Maybe he gets caught in the middle and ends up one of the casualties...car bombing on A.J. as he goes to start the car for Tony, I'm calling it now. Followed by a primal scream from dad a'la "Godfather III".

I look for him to leave open the possibility of a movie...though that could be difficult with so many key characters now gone.

What about a movie where Tony is in a mental instutition and the movie is flashbacks.. you can have people like chris and pussy in a flashback/prequel no problem

NICE!! I like that. I have held to my feeling that AJ is going to be involved in Tony's demise (or Carmella). I like what you have put together here, that would make a great ending and I can see this is being something that Chase would do.
