Sony's unbroken stream of fail

I'm all for the XBox. I have never bought a PlayStation, and plan on never getting one. I love Xbox and thats what im sticking to. Also like Nintendo alot more then Sony.

Sony had the console market in their hands, even after XBox came out. With the release of PS3 and everything else they should basically stop making console stuff.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sony BMG Music Entertainment, the world's second largest music company, will this month become the last of the big four majors to drop copy protection software on music downloads, also known as digital rights management (DRM).

Sony BMG, home to artists including Beyonce, Britney Spears and Celine Dion, said on Monday it will launch a gift card service on January 15 called Platinum MusicPass that will feature digital albums from its artists in the MP3 format. The format does not use DRM protection.

Sony blocks videos on Beyoncé's YouTube channel - MSN Music News
Does Sony think Beyonc? is pirating her own music on YouTube?
Judging by the unprecedented action that Sony Music took, you'd think so.
On Friday, her own record label blocked videos on the superstar singer's YouTube channel, citing copyright infringement.
Like many acts from Gorillaz to The Rolling Stones, Beyonc? has had her own page up on the popular video-sharing site. And she still does -- but fans who log on to Beyonc?'s site to watch videos -- like the award-winning "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)," are now greeted by a message that reads "This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."
The blocking of Beyonc?'s site comes the same week that the controversial Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement leaked onto the Web. The far-reaching agreement, which countries such as the U.S., the European Union, Japan, Canada, South Korea and Australia have been negotiating in near secrecy since early 2008, would, if adopted internationally, allow law enforcement to close down sites and email accounts of those the entertainment industry deems sharing illegally obtained copyright material.
The agreement would also hold Internet providers responsible for consumers' illegal downloading and file sharing, which could result in millions in fines.

Slashdot Games Story | Sony Update Bricks Playstations

"A controversial update which was seeded by Sony in order to remove the ability to run Linux on the Playstation 3 games console has caused a storm of complaints. The 3.21 firmware upgrade, which removes the security hole provided by the 'Install Other OS' widget used by lots of educational institutions and hackers alike, also removes the console's ability to play games... turning it into a very expensive doorstop."

Japanese robots taking over your game console!
In the beginning Sony was like Apple, kicking ass with their products and innovation.
Now, they look like an electronics GM. Too big for their own good.

So we can expect your hero in DC to bail them out when the time comes?

What are you talking about? I have never seen a company get too big and controlling for their own good.
