Songs/Music style that you believe to suck or blow

BrutusMaximus

I Heart Boobs
As a spinoff of the "songs that dont suck, but you cant stand".........I decided we also need one of either songs/bands/music style that absolutely blow, and why. In your opinion of course. I am hoping to start some wars here

I gotta name anything rap, hip hop, or the 50 other variations. There is no talent involved......no instruments for the most part. And it all sounds exactly the same.

Oh and this new fangled punk crap like new found glory, good charlotte, etc. Talk about repetetive horseshit.

Pretty much anything written today that includes singing.

This excludes instrumentals, classical, jazz, etc...

Oh, and I have more talent in my left nut than any rapper in the industry and more brains than any country singer.

Yeah but your left nut is pretty talented, so.......

That may be generalizing a tad much. I agree for the most part, especially on the mainstream stuff. But listen to something like Days of the New, then see if you can say that same thing.

Pan Flute - It has both Sucking and Blowing.

Except for this guy, he is the king.

I hate when people claim they have more talent than so and so because they don't like the music. If it's true that you have more talent then you should be able to go do a rap album and sell as many or more copies than Jay-z has since it "takes no talent"

I would ask, if all other things are equal (opputunity, money, studio, etc) can you sell more rap albums than Jay-Z?

As a person who listens to nothing but rap, I can understand why some of you would think that way and I am not trying to say you shouldn't hate it.

Whatever you hear on the radio or on TV is absolute crap and has no merit whatsoever as "music." Its only redeeming value, is being able to blast it in clubs or house parties and, along with the combination of alcohol, get freaky with girls.

I distinguish what I would want to hear at a party with what I would listen to at my computer or on my ipod. The hip-hop I like to listen to privately has depth in lyrics, and beats that contain a more musical quality to it. I would say if you haven't seen Dave Chappelle's Block Party, you should. For two reasons; 1) Dave is hilarious, and the movie is hilarious. 2) The movie deals with the very definition of hip-hop culture, how it really transcends "black" culture, and shows the various sides of "true" hip-hop that has musical merit. In the end, it isn't just a big rap concert, but an uplifting documentary that shows that we are all related, not by the color of our skin or the music we listen to, but by our experiences.

Anyway, enough of that crap.

I think punk rock is terrible. That and emo music...wow, that stuff is bad. I grew up listening to jazz...so all of that punk and super heavy death metal is just noise to me. Oh yeah, and Linkin Park...don't get me started on that.

Since the last rap artist to actually write "music" was the Sugarhill Gang in 1978, I'd say it all pretty much is talentless crap. Could I take someone else's hard work, sample a few bars of it, throw in electronically produced "bottom out" bass, and yell "HO!!! YO, G!!! Fuck da Po Po!!" on top of it?

Sure.
