SEC fans are huge on conference pride. Meaning they take credit for all teams victories over other conferences. Thus, when LSU and Florida beat osu, that meant that South Carolina and Vanderbilt beat them too, in their minds.

Just pat them on the head and remind them of Michigan's 20-5 all time record vs SEC and thank them for pumping the gas.

One site reviewed the top OOC games of the year. in the top ten, The Big Ten has four games, The SEC two. for some reason, only the first two parts are available

I checked out all the Big Ten vs. SEC bowl games since the BCS era started and posted it here http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/buckeye-football/601660-some-bcs-facts-your-sec-friends-51.html (post 765).

Basically, the Big Ten has 16 wins vs. the SEC, and the SEC has 15 wins. Pretty close to even, if you ask me.

(I did further analysis of how each conference has done in BCS bowl games, but you don't need to cite that information to your SEC friends.)

1. Grow up you bumpkin. These are 19-21 year old kids. You're a sad and sick person if you pin the hopes of your year based on their performance.

2. College football is cyclical and the 1990's weren't too friendly to the SEC (assuming he's and SEC fan).
