MSchwade10

Rookie
Anyone please help me that has YSU and OU games still on their HD-DVR hard drive? I need them in HD!!! I had them saved I thought on mine, but the DVR erased them past 7 days before I was able to copy them to Blu Ray.. Does anyone still have them in HD? Please email me.

Thanks!
Matt

EDIT - edited out email and added the forum's system - or use PMs.

Are they in Hi-Definition though?? And where are you located?

Thanks!
Matt

Yes, they are in HD, isn't that what you were looking for? I'm not from MeatChicken so when you asked for HD, I answered in HD. My profile shows that I am in Perrysburg Ohio which is just south of the Sh*thole called Toledo but more than likely someone already has a torrent of the games in HD... could be wrong... anyone... anyone?

Haha.. Very True!! Sorry Cap'n... Do you come down to Columbus for the games by chance?

Please let me know!
Thanks,
Matt

Just talking to my 1/2 unit about that tonight and it looks like we won't be back in Columbus for a few weeks but I have plenty of bandwidth and server space. Do you use BitTorrent?

Okay.. Not sure if it will work. But we'll give it a try.. No matter, what you do though.. PLEASE DON'T GET RID OF THOSE TWO GAMES OFF YOUR HD DVR. I have a HD-PVR that sits between the HD-DVR and goes component out into a MPEG4 encoder box and then the box connects to the PC via USB. It will do real-time compression and then save to H264 Transport Stream which you can then burn to an AVCHD DVD or Blue Ray that plays back beautifully on a PS3 :) Worst comes to worst, when you come down to Columbus sometime, I could have you bring the receiver and then meet you after the game with it after I rip the game with my HD-PVR.

Thanks Stubby, just let me know!

I'll hold on to them for sure... Just curious, do you have the Hauppauge unit and have you tried the blue ray format yet?

I have the PS3 and would love to burn some disks for it.

YEP!!! I got the Hauppauge HD-PVR unit this summer when it first came out and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! What I generally do is author the DVD with the TotalExtreme software that comes with it and then burn it to Blu Ray disc using Nero 8. It really plays back AWESOMME on the PS3. :) I have about five games from the 2007 season on Blu Ray too. The only problems is the discs are so much (11 dollars apiece if you buy a 10 pack) and the unit can only record one game and then you have to let it sit for a few hours and cool down before you can try and record the second game (They may have got this fixed however by now). But the good news is you can also split the game onto multiple discs and burn them to regular DVD or Dual Layer DVDs that will also play back on the PS3 in Blu Ray :)

Thought I was the only person that went through this kind of hassle to get quality...It's worth it though :)

Another note on the side. It is possible to burn blu ray to dvd5 format and use a regular disc without quality loss. You have to have a smaller sized file obviously, but i've gotten smaller blu ray's off the net (under 4.7gigs),and pulled it off. Had to have help though, and it's a tedious process using Convertxtodvd, and nero recode or clone dvd

Mine isn't that tedious of a process... I just capture using the Hauppauge HD-PVR, I use TSPacketEditor to make my cuts and then use the TotalExtreme Theatre to author the 8.5 gig Dual Layer disc.
