I used to play socom 1, socom 2 and socom 3, but I moved on to PS3 and Call of Duty 4, blows socom away.

I used to play that game. I played it way too much. I pretty much played Foxhunt only, every once in a while we'd play Crossroads though. I had about 232 names, Chris Chavez and LORDS MERCY were my two most used though.
I heard that they're going back to the SOCOM II style for the next SOCOM game. They basically need to make it SOCOM II with updated graphics. When they changed the feel of the game, I hated it.
