Social Groups and their potential

OCBucksFan

I won a math debate
Ok, having had a chance to check these out, I see where they could have applications. Primarily I see them great for watch groups, a simple place to post where you'll be watching the game, etc...

For Example: I create one called "Orange County Buckeyes" and post regularly where I will be watching the game, if there were more people here in the OC it would be a nice way for us look and see if we wanted to head to a bar or someplace for that Saturday morning game.

Beyond that, I am curious to see what other peoples applications of it would be.

So far, I have figured out the following things about them:

1) 10 Posts per page.
2) The last 5 pictures posted will be displayed.
3) Three simple formats, a public group that anyone can join, a private group that the moderator (creator) needs to invite people, or a moderated group where the posts are approved.
4) Even if a group is private, anyone can view it, just not post to it. So, let's say you make a group called "We hate BKB's cheese" and everyone talked about how they enjoyed soft poops, BKB could click on the link and view the group, so even if they are invite, they are not private.
