Did anyone like "the original" Clerks? If it was as good as Clerks II I'll have to rent it.

Clerks is my favorite movie of all time... and it is better the pt II. It's different in many ways.... It was made for $27,000.... if you can, rent or buy "Clerks X" which is the 10 year anniversary edition... it had a great documentry about how the film was made...

I didn't. The acting was extremely bad but I guess you have to expect that with a very small budget. Still, the acting was too bad for me to laugh.

I watched Clerks this AM. I didn't think that it was as good as Clerks II. It almost looked like it was a home movie; black & white, frequently just skipped to new subject (or skit), bad camera work, poor lighting, etc. However, it was entertaining and did have some very funny parts.
