i have a scooter...a kymco people50..i love it..great for having in a city like chicago where parking is an issue. so anyway, i took it in for storage for the winter to the local kymco dealer.

the other day i called b/c i wanted some work done on it..and hte phone's disconnected! so i check the website..which is now down. so i go to kymco-usa's web site to check for dealers in ILlinois and these guys are no longer on the dealer list. they went out of business! problem is: they still have my scooter!

so i got ahold of an employee there and he was supposed to meet me on monday so i could get it, and he cancelled that meeting and hasn't returned my phone calls ever since. anyone know what my options are? this is rediculous...i just want my bike back...that's it....these guys are so shady...i'm thinking of calling the police.....

I'd call the cops in a heartbeat... if you have any attorney friends, have them send a letter on your behalf with their letterhead on the letter (usually gets peoples attention).

If both of those don't work, I guess you will need to break into the place and "steal" your scooter back (and maybe something extra to make up for your time  )...
