So I just drafted my baseball team...

...and I now require the affirmation of others in regards to how much ass it may or may not kick. It's an eleven team AL only keeper league, 23 player rosters, $26 to spend, auction-style draft, traditional rotisserie scoring (AVG, HRs, RBIs, SBs, ERA, WHIP, wins and saves). Each team is allowed to keep up to five players from the previous year's roster, and each team has the option to draft one NL player for the minimum price of $2.50. The 'MI' is middle infielder (2B/SS), the 'CO' is corner (1B/3B). So here goes:

C - Jason Kendall, OAK $1.50
C - Ivan Rodriguez, DET $2.40
1B - Richie Sexson, SEA $2.90
2B - Chone Figgins, LAA $0.50 (keeper)
3B - Aaron Boone, CLE $2.30
SS - Angel Berroa, KC $1.70
MI - Frank Menechino, TOR $0.10
CO - Dmitri Young, DET $1.90
OF - Juan Pierre, FLA $2.50
OF - Johnny Damon, BOS $2.40
OF - Coco Crisp, CLE $0.30 (keeper)
OF - Brandon Inge, DET $0.10 (keeper)
OF - Marcus Thames, DET $0.10
DH - Travis Hafner, CLE $0.50 (keeper)

P - Bartolo Colon, LAA $2.60
P - Jose Contreras, CHW $0.50 (keeper)
P - Tim Wakefield, BOS $0.50
P - Bobby Madritsch, SEA $0.50
P - Dewon Brazelton, TB $0.30
P - Runelvys Hernandez, KC $0.30
P - Tom Gordon, NYY $0.90
P - Dustin Hermanson, CHW $0.70
P - Brendan Donnelly, LAA $0.20

Now clearly I'm aware that I have no closers. The problem there was that many of them were kept, and the ones that weren't were grossly overvalued because the stock was so thin. So my plan is to build an absurdly large lead in stolen bases and trade a guy like Pierre at the All-Star break for someone like Foulke or something. Dunno. Input.

___

And just for perspective's sake, guys like Guerrero and A-Rod went for $4.50, Randy Johnson for $3.60, Mariano Rivera for $3.30, Keith Foulke for $3.40.

At the prices you paid, Figgins, Crisp, Inge, and Hafner were all solid keeps. I think you got Young, Berroa, Madritsch, Figgins, Hernandez, Brazelton, Gordon, Hermanson, and Donnelly cheaply. Little high for Pierre, Sexson, and Colon in my book, although if Sexson stays healthy, he is a great pick. Pierre's price may be pretty accurate given the one NL player style of your draft. I am not a fan of Colon this year. Very balanced from top to bottom with some solid middle relievers. If Takatsu or Rivera go down, you have the next guys in line. Your theory about building a lead in SBs should work fine with Pierre, Figgins, Crisp, Boone, Berroa, and Damon. Definitely a nice draft...

This is my first year playing fantasy baseball so I'm not a very good judge. But the only thing I noticed is you have minimal power potential with you OF but you should be able to make up for that with SB, 2B and runs.

You're loaded at cathcer.

Looks good for the money you had to spend and being mostly AL.
