Slam Nation's Kadour Ziani

Mad hops, but I'm not buying a 56" vertical. I don't think I've heard of a basketball player with more than a 48".

Evan at 5'11", 56" would put his head 7 inches above the rim.

I don't know if its 56 inches or not, but the kid can get up. And, once he's up, he stays there for a while. I think that's the easiest foul line slam I've ever seen, he didn't seem to be even trying to strech.

TG05 - you're full of shit. Mugsy Boghes (sp) was 5'4" in the NBA and couldn't dunk. Spud Webb was 5'7" and was a phenomenon. I don't buy some 5'2" high school kid can throw it down. You're either wrong that he can dunk, or you're wrong that he is 5'2".

Exactly.
This kid is truly amazing, but ever since the days of Darrell(sp?)Thompson, vertical stats have been blown way out of proportion.
He looks taller than 6'0" to me, though.

I think you mean David Thompson from NC State's 1973-74 championship team. He and Dr. J had some real dunk-fests in the ABA in the mid-70's. I remember watching one of his college games, and he tried to go over a big guy, and his knees hit the guy's shoulders. Thompson fell head-first, and lay on the court for several minutes. I seriously thought he could have been killed, since his head fell 10 feet before hitting the floor. He ended up not being seriously injured.

It was rumored that while he was at North Carolina State University, David Thompson could grab a quarter off the top of a backboard. While this fact has never been confirmed, Thompson's athletic abilities were certainly anything but normal. With lightening quick moves, an explosive 44-inch vertical leap, and a precise shooting touch, Thompson often left opposing defenders in awe and in his dust. His athletic ability helped lead many to call him the greatest player ever in the Atlantic Coast Conference and one of the truly outstanding players in NCAA history.

I have seen him do it. And yes he is no more than 5'3".

The kid is a little giant, he has a 295 lb bench press and 495 lb squat.

Don't tell me that I'm wrong when I saw it with my own two eyes.:wink2:
