Wonder what his stance on the whole Petrino thing has been?

He'll probably say that he once was the Football Coach of the Year at a small college and had an affair with a cute co-worker as well during that time, so he knows what he is talking about.

When I did five years in Tejas, he was sports writer for Dallas Morning News. As my poor brain recalls, his writings were interspered, "when I was ......". I guess the guy has told so many fibs that he cannot recollect reality from bizarro reality.

It's great that the internet allows people to look up obscure factoids, and that a Michigan Man (ugh) called him on it. Actually, when someone has the 'power of the pencil' (writer of columns), they can pretty much trash whomever they choose, without the person able to fight back (First Amendment, right Gator?), although not seen any legitimate newspaper successfully sued for slander (all of the tabloids excepted).

Anyway, we'll see whether he keeps his job or is exiled to Michigan - I mean Siberia.....

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: He was probably OK with the Petrino thing, because the gal was scrumptious.

OhioSt penalized b/c it's a COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE to promise players during recruiting they'll be "hooked up" to sell jerseys, get free tats

Absurd overreaction to say PennSt deserves Death Penalty b/c Paterno protected/enabled Sandusky. NCAA regulates ONLY competitive advantage.

Now, I didn't see these on his twitter, maybe he took them down, but he does have a tweet on there regarding Penn State and why they should not be penalized. Whatever, he's a douche. I found these here.

If Satan had a blog and made a long post defending Paterno I have no doubt it would end up linked on the PSU boards with lots of "See, there are some national voices who actually get it!" replies.

I don't doubt MoC. If you want to find Mr Such and Such ... he's out there. There are hundreds of Mr Such and Suches around every program. I cannot (will not) believe any coach, no matter how brazen, would steer players to hand outs. Other players? Yes. Coaches? No.

Fox Sports reportedly gave Skip Bayless a $32 million contract to keep him from going back to ESPN

Fox Sports spent big to retain Skip Bayless and prevent him from rejoining ESPN, according to The New York Post's Andrew Marchand.

According to Marchand, Fox Sports agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract with Bayless, ensuring he stays on FS1's "Undisputed." He may also get a second daily show in the future.

According to Marchand, the contract came amid a push from ESPN to reunite Bayless with "First Take" star Stephen A. Smith. ESPN reportedly had varying offers out for Bayless, coming between $26 million to $31 million total.
