Coastal buck is right. I work in Bennettsville (Syvell's hometown) and he is always in the middle of bad situations. I believe he has cooled off since he's been in college. Spurrier will not let this kid QB his team. A few weeks ago the MCHS coach even said publicly that Newton will not see the field as a QB under Spurrier because he is black. This created quite a stir between the High School coaches in this part of the state.

Easy on Dean Boyd bro. I know the Bulldog fans are all over him lately but he is a good man. That quote was also shown to be taken way out of context by the writer.

He is having a rough go lately though with the "subpar" seasons since the State Championship a few years back. Love those games with Conway...my boy is on staff with Dean. Rendrick was a freak this year too...

But anyway...back to USC
