Single Game Football Tickets Tips

Ticketmaster screwed me...fml

Keep trying, some people get tickets "saved", then released them to try to find better tickets. Then there are some people that have multiple windows open on a single event (Wisn/Penn st) and then it times out on them as they pick the best tickets, and more tickets get released to the public. This could go on for some time.

Thank you, thank you , thank you. you get the point. I was able to get singles to MSU, PSU, got a pair for IU and a four pack for CU (b deck tho but my kids first game). As a heads up I had multiple windows open and even tho i had a single for wisky, it wouldnt let me buy it.

FYI: Recieved this e-mail from the OSU Associate Director of Ticket Sales:

Just a quick heads up, there will be a General Public Football Ticket on-sale next Tuesday, August 9th at 10am. Tickets will be on sale through http://ticketmaster.com and walk up to the box office only. Tickets will be available for select home games only based on availability at the time. Therefore, at this point, I?m not sure what games will be available right now.

Again, I personally will not be fulfilling the orders, but wanted everyone to be aware as early as possible.

Thanks again for your support!

Any thoughts on Section 4b, row 6, seats 24-27, guys? I've never sat in b-deck and haven't heard the greatest things. That said, the section pic is:

I almost get the impression from that shot that this particular section in b-deck isn't affected by an obstruction, but I was hoping someone might have some insight on this point. About the only other things I'm finding right now in my price range are in the back rows of C-deck and D-deck.

I'm in a real bad spot trying to find 4 seats together for Wisconsin. I'll be driving in from DC, taking a friend and his girlfriend who has never been to the Shoe (or C-Bus), and I don't particularly want to spend more than $150 per. For all of these reasons I'm not too keen on trying to scalp them the day of. Is this a situation where I should wait until the week of the game and hope to snag something on StubHub?

I'm going to guess you'll be free from obstruction there. My mom and I had seats in the 3rd row from the back in 24B seats 4&5 for the New Mexico St. game and had a fine view. I think with your seat number, you'll probably be close to an aisle. I couldn't say for sure of course, but you'll also be under cover if the weather decides not to be that nice.

Looking at StubHub, personally I'd rather be in 7C than in 4B. B deck is just too risky for me, unless you're in one of the first couple rows (I'm not sure which row is first affected by the overhang, which blocks the scoreboard).

What about these in 18C:

I'll also put in a word for most of the seats in D-deck. Those are the seats underneath the press box. They are closer to the action than many of the further reaches of C-deck. Also, there's a lower chance of an obstructed view up there unless you're tucked up in one of the corners near the press box structure. Since the press box hangs over D-deck, it also provides some of the weather benefits of B-deck.

Here are some pictures I took from my seat in D-deck back in 2005:

The first one is with no zoom, and the other two are with a little bit of optical zoom. For my money, you can't beat that spot in the stadium. A few others will match it, but I've never sat in a better spot.

God, I miss that old field.

Would it be safe to say that the second row of a B section would be obstruction free?? I would like to think so but I've never sat on this side of the field before (visitors). I've sat in B but it's always been on our side.

Row 2 is fine. When you get to 4-5 rows back is where the issues come in.
