Would you be willing to play $20 for a 6 pack at the store, or double in a bar?

I'm sure alcohol is has a sin tax, but I'm not sure how much it is. My questions is how much is alcohol worth to you? If alcohol was taxed to say $20 per 6 pack of beer would you still drink? In bar terms double whatever you pay for a drink right now.

fuck that. I'd make my own.

I was thinking that as well. I bet a lot of people would start making their own brew. My dad used to make wine at our old house where we had several grape vines and a ton of apple trees. It tastes like shit, but it will fuck you up as good as anything. I would buy stock in a company that makes beer brewing kits.

Hell, if wine/scotch stayed the same price, it wouldn't affect me in the least.

However, if all booze went up in price, we would probably still drink on occasion, but limit it to special occasions where you need to be drunk.
Like weddings and family reunions.

The assumption was that all prices would go up, although if they increased the tax on all bottles of scotch $20 it probably wouldn't affect the people who buy expensive scotch as much as it would affect the people who buy the cheep shit.

I doubt many weddings would have open bars anymore if the price of alcohol was jacked up like this.
