As someone with a formal Asperger’s diagnosis (though the DSM-V designation of ASD fits better), I can confidently say that Harbaugh is 1% Asperger’s and 99% Garden Variety Weirdo.

Oh, I think if you do the math, this is what's going on.... a couple clues....
1) Calls the chicken a nervous bird...ummm... yeah, I'd bet chickens are nervous around him... He's a fucking chicken lover.... and 2) In that he loves chickens, of course he's going to advocate on their behalf and try to limit their being used as food.
