"Who's got it better than us?"

That's a tough question to answer. Teams usually compare themselves to other teams that are relevant. Comparisons aren't usually made with scUM in consideration.

Edit: The question is also confusing. I suppose the syntax plays a role in that. scUM has gotten it pretty good lately. By that, I mean raped. Yeah. They've gotten it pretty good. Or did they mean "Who has it better than us?" They know better than me, though. Harvard and all.

Well, I guess it would be dependent on your definition of "relevant." If by "relevant" you mean "our coach is making headlines by donning throwback jerseys around the country and acting like a bi-polar, dead-eyed lunatic", then I guess they're relevant. If you mean "we're winning big games and getting it done on the field against our rivals", maybe not so much. Hey, have you heard how awesome Jabrill Peppers is?

Look at their schedule and show me a game they won't be favored in until they get to Columbus.

Yeah, they have to develop a new QB, but they should have a good offensive line, a good tight end and at least one wide out who'd make most Big Ten teams. Peppers gives them a potential big play guy in the backfield - probably more valuable on that side of the ball.

I don't see big/little brother being anything special this year. Yeah, Indiana took them to three OTs, but Indiana also had the Bucks by the short hairs until the very end of the game. Maybe the Pedsters win one against UM or the Bucks, but it would be a fluke.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that we will be seeing two teams in The Game with 0 or 1 losses between them. In fact, why not make that a bet for my VR dollars?

Do you mean before or after they drop a few that they are favored to win?

Who are they going to drop them to? Colorado? Big/little brother? The Hoosiers?

Once Rudock settled in they were good enough to finish second in the conference. Their recruit class was ranked 2nd in the conference.

The 2015 Michigan State win was a complete fluke - as was Sparty's win over the Bucks. Iowa and Nebraska are only marginally better than they were last year. Sparty and the Bucks lost a ton of talent which they may be able to replace. I'm confident the weasels are still at least a year away from having equal depth with the Bucks, but I don't see them losing more than 1 game until Columbus.

After 2017 class they will be far from equal depth. Their only saving grace is they won't be losing more than a couple juniors to the draft each year.
