Watching the scUM fans try to defend this is pretty damn funny.

The same fan base that loves to bolster about "winning the right way!"

They claim this is the "new normal" in recruiting......but nobody seems to be able to come up with a similar situation where such a mass forced exodus occurred.

Their only retorts are "MEYER RAISES CRIMINALS!" and "DANTONIO DOES IT TOO!!" (citing the Cupp situation which went down in MID JULY, not 2 weeks before signing day) and some pretty comical comparisons to real life situation (I saw one where one of them compared Harbaughs new strategy to companies cutting employees due to cost cutting, wtf?)

The timing, the volume and the inability of Harbaugh to be honest with players even when confronted directly (as direct as possible, since he makes his assistants do the dirty work) about the status of a scholarship all make this an unprecedented situation.

The faithful want us to believe numerous kids and coaches are all lying about how it went down. You'd hope most people aren't stupid enough to believe that and this has a negative impact as it should.

I think most people dont believe that, its mostly the Tsun fans and a few Harbaugh ball garggling randoms here and there. If it was just 1 kid then yea maybe it would be believable, but thats not the case.

I like the occasional "it happens at every school/every year" garbage that I keep hearing on the radio. HS coaches talk to each other, screw over enough kids (not a PSU joke) and doors will be closed to you. It doesn't matter what the fans think, it matters what the coaches and parents think. This will come up next year in recruiting, I hope it costs them dearly.

I'm sure Harbaugh is so arrogant that he lives by the "I shouldn't have to call they should see the writing on the wall" logic that a lot of their fans are throwing out.
