you know, what's actually worse than the notre dame being ranked ahead of ohio state (yes, i said it) is fresno state being ranked (harris and usa at 16th) so far behind notre dame (usa at 6th, harris at 5th). compare the two losses for each team:

notre dame:

usc by 3 at home, went down to end of game
michigan state by 3 at home, team currently unranked with a 5-6 (2-6 big ten) record

fresno state:

usc by 8 away, went down to end of game
oregon by 3 away, team currently 10-1 and in bcs top-10

Nah guys why even worry about it.... ND is almost certain to get either OSU or Penn State. In either case ND is going down hard. Why? Becuase Notre Shame has not faced a single team with a stellar defense. Notre Shame hasnt faced a gifted mobile quarterback either.

Id love and I mean LOVE for the buckeyes to get to face Notre Lame....

why did you quote my message, rob? no offense, but your response had nothing to do with my post. i'm not worried about notre dame; i just wanted to remark about the fresno state/notre dame inconsistency. it's even more blatant than the ohio state/notre dame inconsistency, considering that each team played usc and the other loss is obviously worse for notre dame (losing at home to an unranked msu with a losing record, while fresno state lost by 3 points to a top-10 bcs team at that team's stadium).

Not to mention that ND lost to USC at ND, while FS lost to USC at USC...huge difference.
