SI.com bowl projections (Mandel)

Take the over....

The football teams would out score the basketball teams. College football's own "Arena Bowl"
There was a game last year.. Louisville vs. someone. Houston, maybe? Damn.. I can't remember. Anyway, the halftime score was something huge. 42-38 or something. And just as they were going to start the second half, the announcer said, "the last time these teams met, the halftime score was 42-40 (or something close)," then he added, "but that was in basketball." I found that to be a little bit humorous.

imagine louisville against texas tech. now that would be a high scoring game.
Ok.. I imagined that. NOW imagine that Louisville vs. Texas Tech game if it went into overtime. It would most certainly go into the third overtime, since they'd both get the touchdowns and extra points. After that, it would come down to who can stop the two-point conversions.

Funny. A buddy stopped over last night for a few beers and we actually played Texas Tech @ Louisville on the PS2. Texas Tech (me) tore Louisville (him) a new ass.

Taurean Henderson racked up over 600 yards receiving. :)

in that scenerio tOSU is not ranked, they are in the mnc, then Iowa is #1 and mich is #2
Well, not really. OSU would be Big Ten #1 and get a BCS birth (just happens to be the MNC). Then Iowa gets an at large BCS game. They give Michigan the Big Ten #2 since Big Ten #2 is always slotted for that game. Whatever Big Ten team is in that game is called the Big Ten #2 even if they don't finish second. Simply a set spot where the name is not changed.

i have heard many people predicting OSU vs USC in the championship game, yet for some reason, i have never seen OSU ahead of UM or Texas in the polls.

so they are predicting that OSU wll beat UM and Texas, yet they are ranked below them?? makes no sense at all.

I think it comes down to the quality of team they have right now (which is all dung anyway, since no one has played a game with the rosters they have now; but that's a whole 'nother argument.) Anyway, based upon the guys who are coming back, Texas and scUM are probably better than OSU, as far as known teams go. Bowl projections are based upon how guys THINK teams will finish up at the end of the year. OSU has a lot of POTENTIAL to go undefeated.

I agree. Im really anxious to see how UM, OSU and UT all play this year with so much potential on each team.
