The way I see it is that with the team we had early season , with Zwick at QB and Lydell at RB, we should be ranked even below 29. With Smith at QB and Pittman/Hall at RB we would have probably only lost at Iowa(they were about as prepared as any team we have ever faced) and would be ranked in the top 15 now. Take that for what its worth because polls don't take into account the "woulda, shoulda, coulda" factor.

I will admit, I'm shocked with how well Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Iowa have played. I think we all overreacted when we started the skid--rightfully so. We're still in control of our season. I think it will be important for us next season to win out now--regardless of rankings. Most of this team returns next season and we need that confidence to continue. Hopefully there isn't that lack of emotion so many have talked about on the 20th.
