Should Jamelle Cornley add the Mike Hart Award to his collection?
According to former Ohio Mr. Basketball and Brookhaven standout, Jamelle Cornley, it was time to achieve some goals in his last year at Penn
State. So, when he ran through a list of his goals, beating Ohio State was right at the top of the list.
One cannot blame Cornley for feeling some antagonism for Ohio State. Coach Jim O'Brien virtually ignored him despite his credentials. So he left the state to play at Penn State.
As much as he wanted to win against Ohio State, Cornley never did. In fact, in the game last night, he helped his team run their losing streak to 11 straight losses against the Buckeyes. Should this kind of dedication and achievement go unrecognized?
Is Cornley's achievement is reminiscent of that other great Ohio player who left to play for another Big Ten team. And so, here is a question for the BuckeyePlanet, should Jamelle Cornley add one more award to his resume? Does he deserve a Mike Hart Award in recognition of his auspicious achievement, even if he didn't bring his bicycle to games in Columbus?
