Should BP update threads with scores during games?

vegasinsider is a site that lists lines from several different casinos, in an, easy-to-read format, so that's where I usually get my info.

Vegas Insider's lines are only easy to read if the visiting teams name isn't so long that it breaks across two lines. When that happens it can be confusing to read which team is the favorite since the tables will sometimes shift the betting line down an extra line with the team names. I've posted lines in the pick'em thread with the wrong favorite once before because of that formatting bug on their site.

it just seems like it's more trouble to update after every score, with little benefit. if you want to know the scores, go to foxsports.com. if I want to chat and not know the scores, there isn't a different website I can go to.

I don't know if it's something that has to be done 100% of the time, but something to do if a mod is on.

I don't believe there are other scores discussed in the buckeye football forum.

p.s. Is there somewhere in real life you can talk about saturday's college football action without risking conversations about the other games?

I usually don't even post on here on Saturdays. On Thursdays and Fridays I'll tape the game and then watch it after my other shows.

But no, I don't usually use bpspy at all. I use the latest posts from the front page, which show the score sometimes.

Well, since updating the threads with scores is winning in a landslide, maybe we could compromise and update other random threads with scores, just not in the football forums.

It'd be like a treasure hunt!

In all seriousness though, I would also personally prefer a massive train-wreck of a thread called "Thursday - Saturday." That way I don't even have to surf.

BB73 is right - it does matter :p . I feel the best solution is to allow all BP users the ability to modify thread titles so each one of us would be able to update the game scores as they change.

Based on the poll results, over 90% prefer having the scores updated.

So let's try this - we'll update them on Saturday, but not on weeknight games, when some are DVR'ing a single game and watching something else. When there's only 1 or 2 games on, if you care about a game you can find out what's happening within the individual game thread.
