Yeah, the exciting possibility of actually getting clunked in the skull by Urban's flying headset if he gets a call he doesn't like kind of sealed it for me.

I just changed my room reservation to a bed&breakfast inn (with a Jacuzzi). It's a mile+ from downtown & the stadium and was about half or less of the cost of the ones right there, but still close enough to get there easily. Got their next-to-the-last room.

Now, I'm debating about whether I want to drive or maybe fly. Haven't flown for a while. Not a fan of the TSA crap, but overall might be less stressful.

Last business now is deciding which broker I want to use to sell my extras.

Interested to hear how that goes for you. Like I mentioned in the game thread, last year I was stuck with State Penn tix until the very last minute. Sold four in basically the same section for around $500 a pop on stubhub. It was a little nerve wracking but it worked out for me.

Live & Learn, ya' know?

I can always print 'em & take 'em with me, try to find someone looking while I'm there. I made the initial reservation investment with the understanding that it was burned money, since if tOSU screwed up, they were worthless.

I always hear about how well the fans travel, and guess I was influenced by the local newscasts over the years where they'd go one about how tickets to big games were all gone and being sold in the secondary market.

What part of the stadium were your tickets for last year in? i.e., section/row? Do you think that influenced the slow sale, or just 'cause the Pedsters are cheap and not very supportive of their team?

One other question: Are the brokers set up in such a way that you can list with more than one of them? That is, do you have to approve the sale before it finalizes, or does the buyer get the print out of the ticket immediately? I'm not trying to sell the same ticket more than once, just wasn't sure if there was a way to list them in multiple markets.

Duly noted. I am aware of that possibility. Just as long as we don't need that particular gif THIS week-end, I'll be fine.

On another note, regarding the possibility of flying vs. driving, this is my WTF!!?? moment of the evening:

WTF AIRFARE.jpg

Th' hell are they doing?! Towing the plane along the freeway to Indianapolis?

I gotta ask though, why fly from Cbus to Indy? Such an easy drive. Seems like a waste of money. Also, it’s fun driving in with all the other Buckeyes on the same path.

But hey, whatever you gotta do to get there.

I was gonna drive, but I am kind of superstitious and I was feeling jinx-y. A couple years ago I took a pleasant fall drive to Southern Ohio, got back to Cbus within ten minutes of being home, but never got there. Had someone shear the front end of the car off & put me in Riverside's ICU for six days. It made an impression. Yeah, I know. The plane could crash, too. I just didn't have a good feeling about driving, esp. with the extra hundred-thousand or so people pouring into Indy.

that's too bad. if you were driving, i'd recommend a short sightseeing detour right off of 71 as you enter indiana. known as the home of tom rapist rv, richmond is a national treasure of city planning genius. by no means whatsoever is it rage-inducing to travel through richmond without a map and gps. i speak from experience. such fond memories of not committing triple homicide.

Now that you mention it, they used to advertise on Columbus TV all the time. Can't recall the last time I saw an ad for them, though. (Always wondered why the guy didn't change his name.)

LOL, been by that place more than I care to count.

I’m not sure it beats the RV HOF (you read that right) off the IN toll road on the north side of the state.

Sorry to hear that. Makes more sense now. Hopefully your flight will bring the W instead of an L this time around!
