After Columbine and VTech, I just don't see how people cannot take these threats seriously. Even if 99% of the threats are empty, you just don't take that chance.

Well, I guess the search ended when they found the bloody corpse on the second floor.

Sad story. Mental health, so important to all of us, so scary when it's absent. Seriously, I think parenting (or lack thereof) played no role in this at all. Schizophrenia is a bitch, then you die -- usually quite prematurely.

while there is certainly some blame to be found for the principal who was apparently warned. how much power does the principal really have here? i don't think there is a whole lot the principal really can do other than security and metal detectors. neither of which will stop a school shooting.
