We are glad that you have decided to join The Scarlet & Gray News Community!
At SGN, it is about community. We have hundreds of members who will be discussing topics ranging from Ohio State Football to your favorite movies and restaurants. It is a place for fans from all over the world to share their ideas and opinions. We hope that we have created a pleasant environment and have installed enough forums, features and links to satisfy all of our fans needs. As with most message board communities, it is the quality of its posters and their ideas that make them great. If you have an idea or see something that you believe will improve the quality of this community please feel free to inform one of the moderators or administrators. We only have one rule and it is very simple. Treat other members as you would want to be treated. If you would not say it to them in person, then do not do it here!
Many have asked us why we started SGN…….One day a band of rouge Buckeye fans noticed they were the only members bringing credible, Inside Information to the table. A foolish group, that was putting their neck out day after day. Yes, sometimes they were wrong, and they felt the axe, but the majority of the time they were right and kept delivering reliable information. These knowledgeable Insiders looked for a place to call their home. Since no existing board would claim them, the started their own community.
Scarlet & Gray News has brought together the ultimate collection of Insiders who are here exclusively to bring to you their insight and reflections on sports. We have positioned insiders in the North, South, East, and West to bring you the best coverage possible. At SGN we understand that the student-athletes we cover sometimes have a last second change of heart. What a recruit thinks on June 2nd may be completely different than what he is thinking on February 2nd. We do promise you a front row seat to the entire process. The ebb and flow of recruiting is what makes it so enjoyable to follow. The ability of being an independent site gives us the flexibility to call them how WE see them.. SGN will not hesitate letting our members know what is happening at any point in time.
Do you have what it takes to be an Insider? We encourage all of our members to try out the User News Forum. Year after year, there are fans that have original information from inside the recruiting process. These fans bring something unique to the table and their views will not only be appreciated here, but encouraged. If you are a Player, Coach, Former Player, Recruit, or a VIP, please let the community know. By sharing your experiences, it will help you and the rest of the SGN members. Post quality stories with accurate info and you may become the next member of our staff.
There will be no other site that you will find it more satisfying to follow Ohio State athletics. Treat all members with respect, explore all areas of the community and enjoy yourself!
