LIKEKELE, MCNEIL GLUE THINGS TOGETHER
Holden had the standout performance of the night, but Ohio State’s other two transfer additions showed they’ll be able to contribute plenty to the Buckeye lineup this season as well. Oklahoma State and West Virginia transfers Isaac Likekele and Sean McNeil both got the nod to start on Tuesday, and each finished with or near double figures in the scoring column......
McNeil didn’t score in the first half but heated up quickly at the start of the final frame. Of his four second-half 3-point tries, McNeil hit three of them, finishing with nine points in just nine minutes on the court in the closing period.
I was unfair to this kid on a couple bad games. You can see he's a scorer and I get why he's getting the minutes and chance to let the shots fly. He might not be the resurrection of Diebler, but we're going to need him to score in spurts throughout the year. He looks up to that task.
"PEOPLE SEE US AS BASKETBALL PLAYERS AND THAT'S GREAT. THAT'S WHAT WE'VE WORKED FOR OUR WHOLE LIFE. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, WE ALSO HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF BASKETBALL. AND I KNOW THAT'S HARD FOR PEOPLE TO REALIZE."– SEAN MCNEIL
It sounds like he's had it with college life but he's played 4 years now so would be eligible for that Covid19 year if he really wanted it I believe. Damn sure would be good to have him one more time but whatever is best for him.
