Sounds like Noel will be back soon. I do think he can still help this team, although it may be more matchup-dependent. Obviously he was able to make a huge impact in the win @ Northwestern as a small-ball post, and he could still provide that element moving forward. Certainly on defense, OSU has had some games like @ Iowa & @ Washington where they struggled to guard big, agile forwards & I would hope he'd provide some help there as well. It's good to hear something more promising about his return.

Ohio State could get sixth-year forward Brandon Noel back for the postseason, coach Jake Diebler said leading into the Indiana game.

Too soon old, too late smart
Well, Noel got in for a few minutes. Not entirely certain whose minutes he took, probably Bynum's, but from what I saw he played OK. Not entirely certain he's 'game ready' yet, but was encouraged by what I saw. Twas nice to see both he and Tilly in there together, but do want to see more high-low pivot play. Hard to say, but gives the Buckeyes another weapon to utilize when get into foul trouble. PS, Bynum's 'coming out' party has been very successful, and don't want to see that diminished.
