I'm not surprised by any of it. I'll be surprised if Army beats Aggie, but the saddest part for the Big 12 isn't that all of those teams lost - it's that none of those teams should have been expected to win those games. They're duking it out with the ACC for worst BCS conference in the country.

How about Texas Tech only putting up three points? One of the biggest surprises of the day to me.
Not that big of a surprise. They can hang 50 on any Big XII team, that doesn't say too much. And consider Tech USUALLY schedules Division IAA opponets and lesser IA opponets... whenever they play a team with a decent defense they show their true colors.

How about the Big East?

WVA is the only legit squad there.....Louisville lost Brohm today.

Yeah, and his backup came in a played very well. And if you remember, Brohm replaced somebody named Stefon LeFors, who had a pretty good career himself. I think Louisville will be just fine. If you beat Miami, you're legit. Rutgers and Pitt aren't too bad either. They're not world beaters, but they're showing more than most of the ACC or Big XII.

The Big East is at least 2-deep...it appears the Big 12 may be one deep. As for the ACC, well, they're really deep, with no elite teams though...lots of 8-3 calibur, not much else.

Miami hasn't been legit since we beat them.

I was thinking about this a little more after I posted... The ACC is a little deeper than I've given them credit for. They do still have Va. Tech - a team that got their dicks sanded last year by Miami (was Miami legit last year when they beat the shit out of Tech in Blacksburg?) The best team in the ACC right now is probably Boston College, and I had completely forgot about them. If your conference's best team is that forgettable, your conference is in trouble.

The SEC has been hands down the best conference so far this year. I was thinking about this earlier today. The Big East has really stepped up it's game over a year ago - but they're not elite yet. The Big Ten really asserted itself today as the second-best conference in the country.

To be fair the B10 looks to only be 2 deep as well.

PSU and Iowa are borderline top 25, MSU and maybe Minny are decent. Purdue keeps struggeling with MAC schools while the bottom teams are horrific.

I don't think any halfway objective fan can argue against the SEC being top to bottom the best conference right now.
