Another year, and another thread closed....

Why do you (the "mods") insist on closing threads having to do with autograph sessions of former players?

Because of this site last year (before the thread was closed) I was able to get a ton of autos and even meet some board members IN PERSON... what is the problem here? Isn't that the point, to get information and share it, and maybe make a few friends along the way?

Why so "high and mighty"? This is an online discussion forum not affiliated with OSU. The Uber strict policies are a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Im not trying to be rude or mean to anybody, I just don't understand it. We are (for the most part) all adults here. Why the need for such strict moderation?

Because if you're a mod or an admin on BuckeyePlanet, that means you abide by the rules in the "Elitist Pr*ck Mod book" and the "Common Tasks for Elitist Tyrannical Administrators" pamphlet.

You can get your own copy for a mere $77.

If the guys who are making a ton of money off of their autograph sessions are willing to cut us in for 10%, then we might let them post here. We're not just Uber strict ... we're also Uber greedy.

I wouldn't call having 1 thread with that info, after it's been PM'd to a mod by anyone who has the info, as hindering autograph seekers.

I'm not a Mod but I did follow the auto thread last year and since then. The problem as I saw it became two fold. One people started ripping some players, which from day one here has not been acceptable. The second thing that grew from that was some people started then ripping the promotors which may of may not have been a problem, but then certain posters started to use the thread to advertise their own products while also tearing down the others.

The Mods have not said they will not allow people to post about auto signing, what they have asked is that if you know about on let them know so that they can post it and avoid the drama that happened last year. Really not that hard to understand
