Selection Monday Thoughts

you list Toolame as "possible"

what are the odds that we're having a few celebratory beers at the office today because they got left the [censored] out of the dance?

I'd say there is a very good chance you will be celebrating. If Conference USA gets a third team in, I think it will be Southern Miss.

We got a pretty favorable bracket.
#1 LSU
#2 Minnesota
#3 Baylor
#4 Southern

Don't know much about Minnesota, but Baylor really struggled down the stretch, and Southern is like our little sister.

Matchup vs the winner of the Rice Regional
#1 Rice
#2 Kansas St.
#3 Xavier
#4 Sam Houston St.

LSU vs. Rice in Baton Rouge would be a really good Super Regional.

By the way, Tulane left out in the cold

on one of their forums, they're blaming the BCS since Oklahoma St. got in :slappy:

I'd say ASU got a pretty easy schedule being paired up with:

#2 Oral Roberts
#3 Cal Poly
#4 Kent St.

Clemson or Alabama would probably be after that and then I'd guess North Carolina will win the other side of the bracket.

The only thing I'm worried about is that ASU plays 8 true freshman on a consistent basis and I don't know how they will handle the pressure.

ASU got a very favorable draw. I didn't think there was any way Oral Roberts would get a 2 seed. Cal Poly can hit, but they don't have a lot of pitching. I saw them play a few games at Houston earlier this year, and I was very impressed with their bats. Kent State is a pretty tough 4 seed compared to some of the other 4 seeds out there. I thought they would be sent to a non-natonal seed regional.

We'll be discussing the regionals tonight on the site for anyone that has questions or comments. Chat starts at 8 ET.

Fuck! The Gators can't shake Miami. The Bethune-Cookman pitcher in round one is very good, and then we get the scUM ace in game 2. If we can make it out 2-0, we do have the home field, but Miami has a hold on us in baseball like we have the Mutts owned in football. Whatever it is, psychologically imparied or actual skill levels, they own our sorry asses lately. :shake:

Gotta man up and not worry about it. Go Gators!! :banger:
