SEC Championship: UGA vs. Bama

Gary has been slobbing Saban's knob since 2009.

Vern is in love with McCarron and it's very obvious.

I'm rather partial to McCarron's mom. I'll leave the knob slobbing to Gary and Vern.

A very alarming thought has been creeping into my mind... Namely, that these SEC teams are paper tigers, and very beatable, perhaps even by Notre Dame. Please tell me that I am wrong...

I don't think you are - Ntre Ame's strength is very clearly on defense. Neither one of these offenses are good enough to beat their defense in my IMO.

We're going to be subjected to a month-long screed about SEC speed, but I think Ntre Ame is going to surprise people in the MNC game

When the B1G plays smashmouth football it's slow, plodding and out of date.

When LSU, UA and now UGA do it it's "grown man football."

:roll1:

I swear I can't remember the last time I watched a full football game without having to mute it. I just can't enjoy it anymore with the obvious bias and ignorance spewed non stop.

You're not wrong.

The notion that ND can't play with either of these teams is as mistaken as it was 10 years ago when everyone outside of Ohio said we couldn't play with Miami.

Thinking more about it, usually the MNC comes down to the team that controls the LOS better than the other. It wouldn't be an offensive clinic, but I think both defensive lines would have their way.

I have to wonder if Georgia's defense is going to wilt against the run as the game progresses. Bama does that routinely and the reason A&M avoided it is because they jumped out 20-0.

There has been little doubt in my mind since that Pitt kicker shanked the FG that ND was going to win the NC.

They match up with these two teams very well and beyond that, it's just their year.

And it would've ended earlier in that Pitt game were it not for a ridiculous PI call on Pitt on 4th down with ND trailing by 13 in the 4th quarter. Even the NDTV homer announcers said it was a bad call.

The rest is history...
