Bingo. Even though I'm a transplant, I'd be pleased to see more emigration and less immigration (especially the Californication).

I say all this with one exception: OCBF and OCBW. Gots to have good people out here.

What can I say? My wife's a good woman. As I happen to remember, there wasn't much of a wait after you showed up minute* man.

* Pronunciation matters little as both are attributable to reality.

I'd like to dispute this statement, but I can't.

Which one's OK?

Never mind - since somebody's currently down under, I think I know the answer.

It all depends on your interests. Seattle's downtown is great. I definitely recommend Pike's Place Market. The Needle has a great view on a clear day. Around the Needle, there is a Children's Museum, Paul Allen's Experience Music Project, and a ton of other stuff.

Portland is a great town as well. It's a beautiful place with a lot of activities. Mt Hood has snow year 'round and is only about an hour from downtown Portland. Multnomah Falls (amongst many others) is a beautiful falls that is just a half hour outside Portland on the Columbia River. Great food in Portland. The Pacific is a solid hour to hour and a half west of Portland; however, there are many places to visit there.

If you have any particular interests; then let me know and I'll help you dial it in.

Good start here, and I would be happy to add more if you have particular interests. Horse Brass is a great english pub featuring awesome authentic UK food and lots of choices in microbrewery for one, but again, as muffler says, let us know what specific interests you have and we can focus down.

Try some of the microbreweries. There are some damn good ones out there.

Go to Powell's City of Books. Amazing bookstore.

Everything about this is THIS. Rogue is right downtown for example, walking distance from Powells. Powells is three floors of awesome.

I was about to ding you until your ears rang for the Californication comment. Then you made me "awwww" so the dingings have been put on hold.

Neither of us is down under. Never have been. Did you take your meds today, Granddad? :wink2:

For some reason I was thinking he was in New Zealand, instead of Seoul. I think I missed a nap, but he was in a different hemisphere.
