Seattle/Portland things to do

Mount St. Helens was an interesting visit, I was there just a few years after it blew its top, but I don't think it's changed much.

If you're close to a place that has lava tubes, those are interesting to check out.

Crater Lake in southern Oregon is a gorgeous spot that's worth getting to.

If you have never been to Downtown Seattle i recommend just walking around. I'd also say Olympia Nation Park is a must....tons of things to see there. I was out there 2 weeks ago and went to Mt. Rainer National Park which was a great time. Drove around the entire park, which took the whole day but was alot of fun.

Also hit up Voodoo donuts in Portland.

It all depends on your interests. Seattle's downtown is great. I definitely recommend Pike's Place Market. The Needle has a great view on a clear day. Around the Needle, there is a Children's Museum, Paul Allen's Experience Music Project, and a ton of other stuff.

Portland is a great town as well. It's a beautiful place with a lot of activities. Mt Hood has snow year 'round and is only about an hour from downtown Portland. Multnomah Falls (amongst many others) is a beautiful falls that is just a half hour outside Portland on the Columbia River. Great food in Portland. The Pacific is a solid hour to hour and a half west of Portland; however, there are many places to visit there.

If you have any particular interests; then let me know and I'll help you dial it in.

I was going to suggest paying a visit to muffler's wife, but it can take hours to get through the line.

What can I say? My wife's a good woman. As I happen to remember, there wasn't much of a wait after you showed up minute* man.
