While our search is broken (will be a week or two before we can fix it), I encourage the use of Google or Bing as entirely suitable replacements. Let's say, for example, you wanted to find everything about SirJo Welch. You might use the following query at Google:
site:buckeyeplanet.com sirjo welch
https://www.google.com/#q=site:buckeyeplanet.com+SirJo+Welch&safe=off
That would produce 504 results for a relatively obscure player. That's right, I roll with SafeSearch off... Gangsta.
Bing isn't dissimilar, but we're not (yet) as well indexed there. The same query produces 22 results.
http://www.bing.com/search?q=site:b...=-1&sk=&cvid=1f94e00113f6483d830e2a3276338555
Either way, you're apt to find what you're looking for. Our own search engine will have no impact on the site at all (isn't connected to the database), and will be far more accurate. We just ran into a bump and can't bring it online yet. In the meantime, the options described above should keep you going.
