scUM player haunted by loss

Naw...the robber didn't fall down.

Exactly, if it were really Lydell he would have knocked himself silly smashing into the wall NEXT TO the open door. The fumble part is dead on and that clip is just priceless!!

I hope this game haunts those scUM cock suckers for the rest of their lives. Normally I route for big 10 teams in their bowl games, but not scUM, and not this game. When scUM gets beat by Texas, and they will, this scUM class will not only be 1-3 against tOSU, but they will be 1-3 in bowl games. I cant wait to see their choke job out west. It couldn't happen to more shitty human beings.

I'm still a Big Ten loyalist. I root for Michigan outside the league. Part of the joy I garner from a victory like this last one against the Wolverines is in seeing that we beat a great team. If they go out and look like a bunch of stumble bums in Pasedena then it doesn't look like we accomplished much. I'd like to think that there were a lot of Maize and Blue folks pulling for the Bucks at the Fiesta Bowl in 03. The league's prestige is measured by the bowls.

I normally root for the Big 10 also, for the same logical reasons Cincy covered so well. But this year is different. We play Texas next year. If scUM beats them, our 2005 victory looks less impressive. If they beat scUM, our victory is enhanced.

Also, with a couple of pending recruits still considering both tOSU and scUM, a scUM loss helps there as well.

Hook 'em Horns! See ya, wouldn't want to be ya, Braylon, Marlin et al.

I can see the logic to root for the 'horns this year... kinda... It still seems to me to be more important to have Big !0 teams win as many bowl games as possible. That's of big interest to writers outside of the midwest (where most votes exsist) If the Big 10 champ loses to Texas, then the West Coast press will wonder how bad Cal would have beaten them, boosting the Pac 10 in the polls. The East Coast press will conclue that, "The Big 10 is down." If Texas wins and Oklahoma beats USC, then we have the Big 12 suddenly being the premier league... ugggg.

In the end, we have to take care of Michigan on our own. Let them beat up on Notre Dame and Texas and anybody else they meet in a bowl game. If we take care of business against them we will a) recruit better b) usually end up in a better bowl game.

I disagree. When Texas visits the Horseshoe next year, the Bucks will not have to deal with either Cedric Benson or Derrick Johnson, so UM definately gets a more formidable UT to deal with. With the returning talent next year and the favorable Big-10 schedule that drops Purdue and Wisconsin, the pollsters are going to see OSU as being a legit NC contender and OSU will benefit from that with a ranking in the Top-10, if not the Top-5. With a Top-5 ranking, playing a Texas team that will have lost both it's best offensive and defensive players, and the game being at home, OSU will already be projected to win, and they should handily if the spread-option offense we saw in the last five games is the norm.

You could well be right, but I think league strength is the more important issue. Look at how many of us have carped about the Big East getting a BCS bid, Auburn's laughable out of league schedule, Oklahoma's having only one tough gmae in their league, or look at how USC has been able to elevate an entire league by winning two bowl games against Big Ten Champs. You're known by the company you keep.
